Briefing about External Electrode Fluorescent Lamp (EEFL):

Recently, LCD TV appears on the horizon fast and quickly, the backlight that has high brightness, high efficiency and long lifetime becomes very important.

External Electrode Fluorescent Lamp (EEFL) also becomes the one of major technology. According to CCFL, each Inverter only can use two outputs for lamp. If the lamp is added, the inverter has to be added. Therefore, the input voltage and power will be higher than normal.  EEFL can drive more lamps than CCFL, and use less inverter than CCFL.  Using EEFL is good for backlight design and cost will be down.
